Terms & Conditions – Riso Pop Workshops
The following terms and conditions apply to all individuals, companies, or other entities (“you”) attending any workshop or course (“Workshop”) organised by Aafke Mertens / Riso Pop (“we” or “us”). Please read them carefully before registering.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By completing the registration form for a Workshop, you agree to these terms and conditions (“Terms”).
2. Payment
The fee for attending the Workshop (“Registration Fee”) will be as stated on the registration form.
All prices are inclusive of VAT (BTW 21%), unless stated otherwise.
Payment must be made in full at the time of registration, and in any case before the Workshop date. If payment is not received within 7 days of registration, we reserve the right to cancel your booking.
3. Cancellations, Refunds & Transfers
If you are unable to attend a Workshop, please contact us at hello@risopop.com.
Credit Option
Where possible, we may offer a credit instead of a refund, and get you priotity in upcoming workshops.
Credits are valid for 6 months from the date of issue
Transfers
You may transfer your spot to another person at any time by notifying us via email.
Cancellations & Refunds
More than 7 days before the Workshop → full refund
Between 3–7 days before → 50% refund or full credit toward another Workshop
Less than 72 hours before → no refund but we can issue a credit toward another Workshop
Less than 24 hours before → no refund
No-shows
If you do not attend the Workshop without prior notice, no refund or credit will be issued.
4. Cancellation by Us & Minimum Participants
Workshops require a minimum number of participants. If this is not met, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the Workshop.
In the event of cancellation by us, you will be offered:
- a full refund, or
- the option to transfer to another Workshop date
We will make every effort to inform you as soon as possible and to process any refunds within 30 days.
5. Your Obligations
We aim to create a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
- If your behaviour causes harm, discomfort, or disruption to others, we may ask you to leave the Workshop. In this case, no refund will be issued.
- You must follow all health and safety instructions from us and the venue.
- You may not bring hazardous or dangerous materials to the Workshop.
- You are responsible for any damage you cause to the venue, equipment, or materials.
Personal belongings remain your responsibility. We are not liable for loss, theft, or damage.
6. Workshop Materials & Promotion
By attending the Workshop, you agree that we may use images of your work for promotional purposes. We will always ask you for socials to share if you'd like us to promote your worl.
All materials (handouts & charts) provided during the Workshop remain the intellectual property of Riso Pop unless stated otherwise. These may not be reproduced or distributed without prior written permission.
Materials may be used for personal purposes only, and not for commercial reproduction.
We reserve the right to make changes to the Workshop programme or materials if necessary.
7. Photography & Filming
We may photograph or film during Workshops for promotional purposes.
We will always ask for your consent before using images or footage in which you are identifiable.
8. Data Protection
We will use your contact details only for communication related to the Workshop.
We comply with EU data protection laws (GDPR). You will only be added to our mailing list if you have explicitly opted in and if you recieve our newsletter you can alwats opt out.
9. Tickets & Access
Confirmation will be sent via email. We do not issue physical tickets.
Your name will be on the attendee list, and access will be granted once payment has been received.
10. Accessibility & Requirements
If you have any disability, medical condition, or dietary requirement, please contact us at hello@risopop.com as soon as possible, and at least 1 week before the Workshop.
11. Limitation of Liability
We take reasonable care to ensure a safe Workshop environment. However, we are not liable for any loss or damage incurred in connection with the Workshop, except where required by law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by negligence
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- any liability that cannot legally be excluded
Our total liability shall not exceed the Registration Fee paid.
